IMPORTANT

This is the User’s Guide for booking international airline tickets on TRiP-A.
Please contact our staff if you have any questions about reservations by staff arrangement.

Booking by Staff

If you would like air tickets such as departing from countries other than Japan, round-the-world, domestic flights, group tickets, or hotels inside and outside of Japan, or any other travel arrangements, please contact us from Quote Request Form.
Our specialist staff will respond within 24 business hours of receiving your inquiry.

HOW TO USE

Before booking

Booking Name / Passport
Your booking name must be the same as on your passport.
Please make sure of your passport validity. Many countries require at least six months of validity on your passport. We recommend you apply for a passport renewal if the validity is less than a year.
# The prescribed cancellation charge is required for the cancellations due to the wrong booking name or the short of passport validity.

Visas / Electric Travel Authorities / Immigration Requirements
You are responsible for making sure of your immigration requirements, including visas and your passport validity.

Important
Please carefully read the ticket rules that are displayed at the time of booking and use the air ticket complying with airlines’ booking policies. If they find their policies have been violated, they could charge some penalties on you and we accept no responsible for that.

SEARCH

Search with your conditions and select what you would like.

BOOKING

Make sure that your booking name (same as your passport) and plan are all correct.
Please read the terms and conditions of the tickets before completing the booking.

# All members’ passport names, gender, date of birth are required at the time of booking.
# Changing or modifying your name is not available after making the booking.

PAYMENT

Select your preferred payment method.
The cancellation fee is required for the cancellation after completing the payment (for payment on invoice, after approval for use of the payment method.)

PREPARATION

You receive an email when your e-ticket is ready to download from ‘My Page’

# The airline booking No. is shown on the e-ticket.
# You can assign a seat or register your mileage number on the airline’s official website.

DEPARTURE

PAYMENT

Payment Methods When Available to Select
Credit Card Anytime
Bank Transfer Booking on Monday-Thursday
Payment on Invoice
(limited to univ. and research inst.)
Booking on Monday-Thursday

The cancellation fee is required for the cancellation after completing the payment (for payment on invoice, after approval for use of the payment method.)

Credit Card

Credit card payment is required at the time of booking.
The credit card holder must be the TRiP-A user account holder of the booking.
One-time payment with credit cards listed on the right are accepted.

Bank Transfer

Bank transfer must be made to the designated bank (Aozora GMO Net Bank) by the purchase deadline. Please note that if payment is not confirmed by the purchase deadline, your reservation is automatically cancelled. Bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the customer.

The purchase deadline designated by airlines may get earlier. You get a notification if it happens.

Payment on Invoice (limited to universities and research institutions)

Your university or research institution can make a payment on invoice directly to us.

A credit check, which is based on our criteria, is required for use. We notify you of the screening result within one business day after you make a reservation.

Cancellation after the screening has been approved incurs a cancellation fee.

CHANGE/CANCELLATION

Please check with our staff for reservations by staff arrangement.

CHANGE

Changing or modifying your name after booking is not allowed.

Only the tickets with the condition of “change available” is allowed to change.
You can find the ticket conditions from the Booking Details onMy Page.
When you need to make a change, please send us a request by Contact form on ‘My Page’, by phone (075-252-2251), or by email (contact[at]trip-a.jp).
# The air ticket fare could be different depending on a new flight to book.
# Your request is proceeded only within our business hours. (10am-5pm, closed on Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays)

CANCELLATION

To Cancel All

You can cancel your whole booking from Booking Details onMy Page. Please make sure of the cancellation charge shown on the same page. You receive a confirmation email within a couple of business days after your cancellation procedures have been completed.
You are required the airline’s charge as well as TRiP-A’s according to the cancellation policy. (The handling charge at the time of booking is non-refundable.)
# Once you cancel your booking, it cannot be withdrawn.
# Please check with our staff for reservations by staff arrangement.

To Cancel a Part of Your Accompanying Members

When you need to cancel a part of your members, please send us a request by Contact form on ‘My Page’, by phone (075-252-2251), or by email (contact[at]trip-a.jp).
# Your request is proceeded only within our business hours. (10am-5pm, closed on Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays)

FLIGHT DELAY/CANCELLATION

DELAY

Until the day before departure date
If you are unable to transfer to a connecting flight due to a delay, please contact us using the contact form on ‘My Page’, by phone (075-252-2251), or by e-mail (contact[at]trip-a.jp) so that our staff can change your flight. # Your request is proceeded only within our business hours. (10am-5pm, closed on Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays)

 On the day of departure
Please ask your airline at the airport check-in counter.

FLIGHT CANCELLATION

To rebook an alternative flight
 Until the day before departure date
Please send us a request by the contact form on ‘My Page’, by phone (075-252-2251), or by email (contact[at]trip-a.jp).
# Your request is proceeded only within our business hours. (10am-5pm, closed on Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays)
 On the day of departure
We are not able to arrange your new flight. Please ask your airline at the airport check-in counter or to the customer support call center.

To cancel your ticket
See CANCELLATION for the cancellation procedures.
# For flight cancellation decided by airlines, cancellation fee is normally not required. There are exceptions for non-refundable tickets.
# The handling charge at the time of booking is non-refundable.
